The Conrad Tokyo

THE BASICS Opened this past summer, the Conrad Tokyo is the latest addition to the high-end hotel brand operated by the Hilton Hotel chain. Located on floors 28 through 37 in a high-rise building in the Shiodome area of Tokyo, the Conrad is a 290-room, premium-service hotel that caters to business travelers who want to be near downtown. An elevator from the ground-floor reception area shuttles guests to the 28th-floor check-in lobby, a double-height space that looks out onto Tokyo Bay. With an interior illuminated by glowing lightboxes and floor-to-ceiling wood paneling, the décor of the hotel is decidedly modern but with warm and traditional touches.
